20/20 EPISODE 8 (01/10/07)

Download this episode (20 min)
I'm back! Oktoberfest was great, but you know I can't stay away from the mic for too long. Back with the good stuff, too: the brand new Blak Twang. Oh yeah, and Ba4za, Tumi (plus the Volume), Fifi, Prevail, Moka Only, Abstract Rude, the RZA and Afrob and Sekou from Germany.

News has got the new Jay-Z album (another one?), David Banner and Master P talking sense and the Volume doing their thing.

Oh yeah, wanted to say: if you like 20/20 (and judging by the download numbers, some of you clearly do!) drop a comment and let me know if there's anything you want to see on the show that isn't there. Just click the 'Make a Comment' button below. We do it because we care. 20/20 - because you're worth it etc.

Good to be back. Peace!

20/20 EPISODE 7 (17/09/07)

It's all about the exclusives that no-one else has on this show. This time the Roots get the five star treatment. Hub, the bassist, is retiring after 17 years service, and we've got his last performance on record, complete with champagne-passing-hijinks and a rare ?uestlove speech.

The performance was at Moedown in Turin, New York state. Thank you to the anonymous fan who recorded the show!

Plus, two other Roots tracks to keep that one company - a joint from the OKP compilation, plus a full-length live jam. And no, it's not Water.

That, and Tumi, Syntax, Midas Touch, Fifi, plus a live recording of Ewok (IllShad) and Infinite (sick beatboxer) linking up to demolish.

News as well: new SA rap compos, 50 is crap, the DMC champs are coming - and Common and Q-Tip joining forces? Fuck yeah!

20/20. Once again, back by popular blah blah etc. etc.

It's 20/20. Clear vision and clear hearing as we pack Zuluboy, the Perceptionists, Pharoahe Monche, Munetsi and Doc Syntax into one monster episode!

Oh, and Foxy Brown has fucked up (again, but this time for real), GZA makes history, Kanye's on the road and Universal music wants you to drop your singles, stop eating pringles and buy: Ringles. Sorry? (Thank you to Just Blaze for the heads up)

New week, new 20/20. Start it off right.

Say it with me: TALIB-KWELI-BK-MC! He's all over this week's 20/20 and with good reason - but you'll never guess who's beaten him to the top of the album charts. No, really.

Joints from Ben Sharpa, Jaak, Terror MC, Rato, Joell Ortiz (with Akon? WHAT?!?!), Talib, Jean Grae, Blu and Exile, DJ Premier, Skyzoo and Torae.

News has Nas facing problems and some leaks have sprung in the watertight labels that are Interscope and G.O.O.D Music - the Louis Vuitton Don and Action Jackson face off, with unexpected consequences.

20/20. Number 5. I should throw a party or something.
