A while ago, a few guys on an otherwise obscure internet message board got together and made a beat tape. They called it Re-Invention, and it went down so well that they decided to make another.
It's called Re-Invention Vol.2, and as you may have guessed, this time it features MCs. Some dope ones, from many different countries, all rocking over crazy beats.
This album - even if I'm biased (since I'm on it myself) - rocks. It's a solid, funky-as-hell mix of great beats and sick rhymes. It's also entirely free to download. It's had over 500 DLs at the time of writing. Which is incredible, for a tape like this one.

One of the great things about UK hip-hop is how close it links with the UK dub scene. These aren't so much remixes as remakes - with Michael Bay-type production budgets. HUGE beats. We have two great examples right here, including the Foreign Beggars (pictured) and the crazy new Kyza single - mixed as beautifully as only 20/20 can. Play at top volume.
This edition, by the way, is big, brutal and heavy. If you can't deal with speaker-splitting beats, huge basslines and sick rhymes, then maybe this isn't for you.
