DJ JS1 just put out a stoopid fresh record. It's called Ground Original 2 and gathers together just about every dope MC you can think of, then locks them in a room and doesn't let them out until they work together. So I guess that means JS stands for JigSaw from the Saw movies. Best hope that Pharoahe Monch and OC manage to get their way out of his traps intact, but hey, these are two of the nicest, most Ridiculous cats to ever do it.

Speaking of Pharoahe, Tactical Thinking opened for him when he played London's Jazz Cafe recently; we've got a sick joint from member Assa up in this one. Cheah!

There's something truly special on this episode.

No, I'm not going to tell you what it is.

Fine. It's the reunion of two hip-hop superstars that created a monumental, life-changing track years ago, and have come back together to create something...well, just listen. You can't afford to miss this.

By the way, RIP Baatin (above). That's now two members of Slum Village who have passed, which is bloody awful, and this one was a founding member. Baatin (Titus Glover) passed away over the weekend in Detroit, in unknown circumstances - though there is no indication of foul play. There's a classic Slum V jam on this episode to say thanks to him and his boys for making such fresh music. Respect.
