Twenty minutes of the best hip-hop in the world. Any country. Any artist. Any song. Plus the best hip-hop news. Every single week. Makes you smile, doesn't it?

20/20 is hosted by Radio SA and former Hiphocalypse DJ Rob One.

&quot;Twenty minutes. Twenty answers, not twenty questions. Twenty is a Score, as done by the Fugees. Foresight is 20/20, not hindsight. Perfect vision.&quot;</description>

So instead we have the blazing new Blak Twang, some MOP, The Holstar (Zambia in the building), Marco Polo and Supernatural, plus Entity, Nthabi, Reason and Maggz. Worldwide connected, like we always do.

20/20. Ya favourite rapper's favourite podcast.

<description>Mixtapes are normally pretty crap. Seriously - I could give two shits about Lil Wayne on the Ignorant Shit instrumental. Talib Kweli, for some reason tends to do pretty good ones. On this edition of 20/20, he does Mims. We dig it; Clinton Sparks really is a very damn good DJ.

Kweli gets help from Recess Poetry, Nia Jai, Immortal Technique, Akir, Pharoahe Monche, Pete Rock and Papoose. Basically, all essential music you just gotta hear right now, 'cos you ain't going to get this shit anywhere else. Commercial radio? Please. It's 20/20, and we don't fuck around.

Thanks for making August another record month by the way. And shouts to UCT 104.5 Mzansi Mamela for dropping a little 20/20 mix with my sultry voice beaming all over Cape Town. Maximum respect and all that.

WE MAKIN' MOVES! WE HUSTLE!

<description>(UPDATE: It's been pointed out to me that there is a level discrepancy at the end of this podcast. My bad! I will be fixing this later tonight; it's minor and does not affect the podcast all that badly. Please download, it's still good!)

In this 20/20 Special Report, we look at a situation which is shaking the foundations of South African hip-hop. The political party Freedom Front Plus recently made a complaint about a song/video by African rapper Zubz. They said his track 'Get Out!' was an incitement to violence, and complained as such to South Africa's Broadcasting Complaints Commission - a body which has the power to ban the track.

In this report, 20/20 speaks to Zubz, FF+ spokesman Willie Spies as well as two of Zubz's producers. Hear for yourself whether or not the track should be considered hate speech - and hear what the Commission decided.

At what point does a song stop being entertainment and commentary and start to become incitement to violence? How much freedom is too much freedom? 20/20 takes on these questions and more.

It's all here, in a 20/20 exclusive. Get in.

We've collected some dope frees from Canibus, Apathy, Big Pun and Remy Ma into this episode - call it the Freestyle Edition. More coming in the next few weeks by the way. Rattex, Young Nations, Yungun and Aaron Jerome make up the complement.

By the way, we've broken download records this month - surpassing the 20/20 all time total with 500 downloads in one month, plus a whole bunch of single-day and consecutive-day records. Even I'm not sure what all this means. Anyway, you rock, for keeping this show moving. Thank you. Have a beer on me!

...from Mpisi, Triplife, Maestro, Little Brother, Joe Scudda, Pete Rock, Subbz, Clueso, Galactic, Juvenile (trust me) and Snazz.

By the way, big up to Snazz for taking home the Sprite MC Africa competition. He wins a video with Wordsworth, $10,000 and a slightly used roll of toilet paper. Woohoo!

<description>South African hip-hop lost something this past weekend. Creeper, an MC known to all hip-hop heads in Grahamstown and the Eastern Cape, and one of the nicest, most genuine dudes around, died on Friday night.

This episode is all his. Tracks he would have and did like: Common, Titus Track, Scienz of Life and Optical Illusion. One of his joints too, plus a little freestyle from the Hiphocalypse show.

We'll miss you buddy.

(The pic I have is enormous - if anyone has a slightly smaller pic of Creeper, let me know, otherwise the one I have will be up shortly)

<description>My God, but rappers are stupid. Look at the Game. Four months in jail for gun possession. Why, exactly, do you need a gun, Jayceon? For what? Who, exactly, were you going to shoot given that you're, you know, a well-known artist and someone would probably spot you doing it? Dumb fuck.

His music doesn't feature on this scorching episode, but we do have joints from The Federation, Cut Chemist, Mr Lif, Edan, the Beatnuts, DJ Rhettmatic, Jean Grae, Block McCloud and AQ and Thirteen. I refuse to write the dude's name Thir[13]teen because it's just ridiculous. He makes good music though... Cap City we see you!
